How do I take care of my jewelry?
All Embrace jewelry pieces are crafted from (gold plated) sterling silver or 14k gold. To keep your jewelry shining beautifully for years, please follow the guidelines below.
Sterling Silver Jewelry
Sterling silver is naturally water-resistant and suitable for daily wear. To maintain its shine, we recommend giving your silver jewelry a gentle cleaning every six months.
Gold Plated Silver Jewelry
Our gold plated pieces are made from 925 sterling silver and finished with several microns of high-quality gold plating.
To preserve this delicate layer:
- Avoid contact with water, perfume, lotions, alcohol gels, and other chemicals.
- Exposure to these substances can cause the plating to fade and reveal the silver underneath.
Handle your plated jewelry with care to keep the golden glow for as long as possible.
14k Solid Gold Jewelry
14k gold is durable and suitable for everyday wear. Unlike plated jewelry, it will not tarnish or fade.
To keep your 14k gold pieces looking radiant:
- Clean them periodically with a mild soap and lukewarm water.
- Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth to maintain their natural shine.
Earring Closure
If your earring no longer clicks shut, gently adjust the fixed bar by pushing it slightly up or down with your finger until you hear the click again. This should restore the closure mechanism.
